Many GCV aircraft carry SPOT Trackers for safer flying. SPOT is a small GPS device which sends your position via radio to a global server every ten minutes. So, we always know where you are (which is very helpful in any emergency or SAR action) and, we can also see what exciting things people are up to.

A member in the club (Scott) is working on a tracking website that will provide a live Google Maps-based displays of the GCV SPOTs. Members will be able to register their SPOT allowing everyone to see how you’re doing in your cross country flights.
